The Frederic Chopin String Quartet was formed on the initiative of the group members and Agnieszka Brzezinska, the director of Szafarnia The Chopin Centre. At the roots of the group arising lies the promotion of Frederic Chopin music. The quartet’s members are connected with the artistic environment of Kuyavia and Pomerania where they cooperate with leading cultural institutions of the region. As the musicians who play in orchestras and take part in various chamber projects, they have diverse artistic experience. The quartet presents the work of Frederic Chopin in a different, however interesting atmosphere of the chamber music. Apart for the Frederic Chopin compositions, their repertoire also includes the works of various composers, first of all J.Haydn, W.A. Mozart, A.Borodin, D.Szostakowicz, S. Moniuszko and many more.
